I don't know how they got around in the dresses
with the bustles... How did they ever sit down...
It must have taken quite a bit of "training" to park yourself elegantly on a chair or sofa... :-)
Gorgeouos fabrics, with laces, frills, bows, buttons etc.
I love watching shows like Murdoch Mysteries,
Sherlock Holmes, Jane Austen's great stories ...
to see all the glorious dresses and outfits in clear, crisp colour.
Hats with feathers and flowers, lots of white and cream ... stunning.

Some of these dresses are absolutely beautiful. I do wonder how they managed especially with all the things they had to wear underneath.
