Today is glorious... not too hot.. not too cold, nor windy ... and no bugs around..
I sat in my little back garden early this morning and enjoyed the cool breeze around me, and the little hummingbirds who thought perhaps I was their next meal seeing I was wearing a red t-shirt and that's what they like ... if there's red around they will come see what it is ... flying right up to my shoulder and flapping their little wings like tiny helicopters staying in the same place.

It made me think of the wonderful garden parties or times the Victorians must have had outside in their spectacular gardens especially in England ... if they were rich ... they would no doubt wear the beautiful big lacey hats with ribbons and bows, and have tiny little sandwiches to eat.
There would not have been all that much to do in those days so outside drinking tea would have been top of their list if the weather was good. And those cooks would have worked hard beating the cream by hand to put in those delicious cakes. Arh!!!!!!! I miss my Aussie days where we can stay outside all year.... unlike here in Canada where the snow will soon once again be up to my ears.....
